Green or white asparagus?

Green asparagus are the best choice for the BBQ. They are firmer, have more flavor, and don't need to be peeled. Directly on the grate — ready in 5 minutes.
White asparagus are softer and more delicate. Peel them well and pre-cook them for 3 minutes before grilling, otherwise they won't cook through inside.
Pro tip: Choose thick green asparagus for the BBQ — they cook more evenly and get nicer grill marks than thin ones.
